چکیده مقاله:

Hydrogels are cross-linked networks of hydrophilic polymers and can be delivered to the tissue through minimally invasive methods. In situ hydrogels area unique class of hydrogels that exhibit sol-like properties at ambient conditions and undergo at transition to a gel phase under physiological conditions. In this study, we have prepared scaffolds with the use of medium molecular weight chitosan with 1.5% graphene oxide by in situ forming method as cardiac graft substitutes. To evaluate the size of graphene oxide, dynamic light scattering (DLS) was used. The size of the graphene oxide with an average of 400 nm was measured. The hydrogels morphology, structure and porosity were evaluated by scanning electron microscopy. By hydrogen bonding between hydroxyl groups on graphene oxide and amine groups on the chitosan, it be dispersed in the network. The structure of hydrogels is relatively homogeneous and porous. Herewith, we are suggesting that chitosan/graphene oxide scaffolds are promising biomaterials for cardiac tissue engineering.
