چکیده مقاله:
A number of synthetic routes have been used to synthesize ZnO nanoparticles including chemical synthesis. The drawbacks of these methods are use of toxic reducing agent majority of which are highlyreactive and are unsafe to the environment. However, green synthesis using plant extract has advantages such as easy availability and safely to environment. In this study we synthesis ZnO nanoparticles using Amaranthus cruentus seed extract. The MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5- diphenyltetrazolium bromide) cell viability assay was done on HepG2 cell line. The cells were incubated 24, 48, and 72 hours with different concentration of Zn O nanoparticles including (12.5-100 μg/ml), which medium cell incubated without treatment consider as negative control. Results of cell viability assay showed that ZnO nanoparticles synthesized in Amaranthus cruentus seed extract were effective in elimination of cancer cell lines. The IC50 values was reported as 12.5 μg/ml 48h after exposure. Findings indicated the anticancer potentials of ZnO nanoparticles against liver cancer cell lines and authors recommended complementary and in vivo studies
