In present work, our aim was to study two-phase laminar flow in a horizontal channel. First, an analytical study was done using Navier- tokes equation of motion and substitution of paper boundary conditions and two immiscible fluids flow within the rectangular channel are modeled using level set method (LSM) and phase field method (PFM) solved by finite-element scheme, which can accommodate complex flow geometries. Then simulation was done using COMSOL Multiphysics 5.0 in order to compare analytical and computational results. Besides the effects of various parameters on velocity profile were investigated. These parameters include: effect of thickness of the interface, effect of mesh size, effect of time, effect of surface tension. However the interface thickness has an important role in the precision of the numerical solutions. Results show that both methods are approximately non-sensitive to the mesh sizes in this specific problem. For study of surface tension effect of parallel two-phase flow was illustrated that PFM identically predicts the fluid velocities. absolute permeability is a function of channel geometry. Velocity profiles and relative permeability (krel) equations were developed for both wetting phase (w) and non-wetting phase (nw). The existent Plots of dimensionless velocity (uD) as a function of dimensionless thickness (yD). since the analytical and numerical relative permeability of two phases as a function of wetting phase saturation (Sw) was plotted and compared. The important point of absolute permeability is No relationship of fluid properties.
