Cell carcinoma of head and neck is a disease that its prevalence is increasing. One of the mostimportant factor for that is the HPV virus so that treat this type of cancer has a better prognosis.The present study aimed to investigate the prevalence of head and neck squamous cell carcinomaassociated with the virus in age from 30 to 60 years. In this study, 50 samples from patients hadstudied during the past two years (1392-95) by HPV virus detection kits with a multiplex PCRmethod in Isfahan city. After Multiplex PCR on the 50 samples ,4 samples with HPV16, a sample withHPV18 and two samples has identified HPV16 -18 was assessed. Respectively 8% and 2% and 4% of thesamples were included. According to the findings of the present the HPV virus has a significant rolein head and neck squamous cell carcinoma .
