Evaluation of social justice and quality of life (public exuberance) and their role in achieving sustainable development of urban spaces

Development is a long-term process that encompasses all aspects of citizens’ social life. And ignoring sustainable development, encounters cities with an undesirable cycle of social and environmental imbalances, and makes them to face unprecedented challenges such as anticlimactic quality of life and social fissions, which, results in inequity in the distribution of services. If sustainable development is human-oriented, then one of its structural objectives will be the citizens’ life quality based on the principle of social justice. Sustainable development is one of the most comprehensive concepts of all time, and its objectives are applicable at all the levels of human life. Sustainable development is not confined to environmental issues, economic dynamics, and consequently climactic quality of life and social justice, etc. are other important aspects of this issue. However, this sustainability requires instruments, the most important of which is social justice. Hence, social justice, the quality of the citizens’ life and their impact on the realization of sustainable development of urban spaces is dissected in this paper. The research method used for this paper is the library research method; by reading books, articles, and journals, the concepts of sustainable development, quality of life, and social justice are defined, and their roles and correlations have been discussed. The results of the studies and researches illustrate that social justice and quality of life are the most fundamental factors in achieving sustainable development.
