چکیده مقاله:
Cellular manufacturing (CM) is a production approach to reduce the costs and increase the system’s flexibility in today’s small-to-medium lot production environments. When we use dynamic cellular manufacturing systems (DCMS) in a lean production system, machines utilization is an absolutely essential issue for enhancing the manufacturing performance. An efficient mixed-integer, multi-objective dynamic cell formation model is developed in this paper, in which machines utilization is maximized, and the sum of the miscellaneous costs (e.g., machine cost, inter-cell material handling cost, and machine relocation cost) are to be minimized simultaneously. We linearize the presented model to gain an optimal solution for a numerical test. Finally, the related results of the test is illustrated and discussed.
