Functionalizing Graphene/Ag with Pyrazole and Pyrole and Their Applications as Antimicrobial and Cytotoxic Agent

چکیده مقاله:

The composites/hybrid composites Graphene oxide (GO) and graphene/Ag(G/Ag), Graphene oxide/pyrazole(GO/PYZ), Graphene/Silver/pyrazole (G/Ag/PYZ), Graphene oxide/3,5-dimethylpyrazole (GO/DMP), Graphene/Silver/3,5-dimethylpyrazole (G/Ag/DMP), Graphene oxide/pyrrole (GO/PYR) and Graphene/Silver/pyrrole (G/Ag/PYR) composites/hybrid composites were synthesized by improved Staudenmaier method. The reduced graphene oxide composites have been controllably synthesized, using sodium citrate as the green reducing agent by a hydrothermal method. The synthesized composites were characterized by FT-IR scanning electron microscope and X-ray powder diffraction. Antibacterial and antifungal effects of the synthesized Gr-Ag NPs were examined against some reference ATCC bacteria and fungi. Antibacterial, antifungal and cytotoxicity effects of Nano Graphen-Ag were investigated. For antimicrobial assay, Disk Diffusion Method was used [1,2]. Cytotoxicity effect on Vero cells was determined by the use of colorimetric test (MTT assay) and IC50 (50% Inhibitory Concentration) was measured. The Gr-Ag was found to be effective against some gram negative bacteria and fungi while no cytotoxicity effect was seen.
