Evaluation of some medicines on wound healing in fish

Objective: Skin injuries are caused by several microbial agents and physical, mechanical or chemical factors. Because the existence of so many microorganisms in water and cuticle, skin as the first protector has an important role between fish and its environment and so do a major part in fish health and hygiene. Skin reconstruction depends on many factors such as pH and heat degree of water, diet, stress, and also drugs used. Method & Materials: Most effective drugs in this procedure are Phenitoin sodium (bath and oil), Zinc oxide oil, zinc sulfate bath and Vit-A oil. Phenitoion sodium is a drug from anti-convulsion group that is approximately soluble in water, local oil of this drug is effective in skin injuries, repairment and decrease of ache and bacterial infection. Its also use in bath condition at different doses. Zinc oxide and Zinc sulfate are used in skin disorders, burnings, scratching, achne and so on. Vit-A is also used in skin reconstruction. Results & Conclusion: Drugs-at the same condition-Zinc sulfate bath at 23PPM concentration has the best effect of all. It repairs skin in about 8 days. After that, there is Phenitoin sodium oil that repairs skin in 12 days, then its bath at 5 mg/lit concentration do this job in 20days. Skin repairment by zinc oxide bath is completed by 25 days and at the end, the least effective drug-Vit-A oil-cause skin reconstruction in 30 days.
