Objective: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of levamisole as a food additive on growth and health management of rainbow trout. Method & Materials: In order to study the levamisole effect as a food additive on growth and health management of rainbow trout, 360 larvae (50±5gr) in 4 treatments, including zero (treatment one or control group), 100 (treatment 2), 250 (treatment 3) and 500 (treatment 4) mg/kg levamisole, with 3 replicates were fed for one month. In days zero, 15 and 30 of growing period, biometrical data of fish were collected. Also, other parameters such as daily growth rate, special growth rate and fish weight, in the treatments were recorded. Results & Conclusion: Our study showed that weight increase in fish mostly happens when the levamisole was under 500 mg/kg food and fish fed with 100 mg/kg levamisole food had considerably more weight increase than other groups. Also, the most daily growth and special growth weight rates were belonged to treatment 2. When the growing period was over, fish were subjected to thermal, anoxia and intension stresses. We found that the treatment groups with levamisole were more resistant to heat shock of 25°C, in which treatment 2 was the most resistant group. There was no significant difference between the groups under anoxia and intension stresses (p>0.05).
