چکیده
The use of natural materials in sustainable agriculture aimed to eliminate or substantially reduce the use of chemical inputs to increase the quality and yield stability. Among these materials, zeolites are used by mixing them with organic materials during composting process to increase compost efficiency. Zeolites act as nutrients carriers and play a vital role in proving nutrients during growing season. Cattle manure composting results in a specific humus like product with stable structure and phytotoxin free properties. In addition, compositing reduces manure volume, kills weed seeds and pathogens. Zeolite amended cattle manure application improves soil’s waterretention capacity and provides nitrogen and microelements. Furthermore, zeolite application enhances physicochemical properties of the soil which in turn increases crop yield and production. From a clean environment point of view, adding zeolites during composting process reduce greenhouse gas production. Zeolites are easily found in different regions of Iran and in addition to its application in agriculture it is widely used in industrial plants to conserved gases solar energy and even in nuclear technologies.کلیدواژه ها
