چکیده

The National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics(NACA) 4412 airfoil is widely used in industrialapplications and aerodynamic characteristics of the airfoilinfluence the performance of the application. So, the aim ofthis study is to investigate the behavior of NACA 4412airfoil at different operating conditions with computationalfluid dynamics method using two-equation κ-ω shear stresstransport (SST) turbulence model. A grid study has beendone and a proper mesh has been chosen. The CFDanalysis is carried out using ANSYS FLUENT 16.0 and theaerodynamic coefficients are calculated at 9 angles ofattack ranging from -6 to 18 degrees at a Reynolds numberof 2.3× 106 based on chord length. The predictedaerodynamics coefficients matched with reliableexperimental data.
