Propose a conceptual model for the future of IT management in organizations

چکیده

In today s competitive world, organization’s improvement is highly dependent on technology, so they must adopt themselves with new technologies and make their future plans based on it. IT management is the discipline whereby all of the information technology resources of a firm are managed in accordance with its needs and priorities. The main focus is on creating added value of an organization using technology. Rapid development of technology caused IT management changes its role from traditional support services to a strategic role in the organization. But still there is lack of thinking about the correct use of the potential capabilities of IT. In this paper using the common methods of future studies, we have proposed a conceptual model. Our model is based on the business and IT alignment model proposed by Henderson and Venkatraman. Four strategic initiatives in this model are business strategy, IT strategy, business processes and organizational infrastructure, IT processes and infrastructure. We have visualized the potential future and how to plan each of these initiatives in an organization.
