چکیده

This paper deals with the response of unsaturated deformable porous media to the coupling concept of thermal void ratio state surface through the problem of NAPL dissipation in soil. Four parameters of mathematical formulation of this state surface should be obtained by triaxial compression test. By describing a scenario of NAPL infiltration through a poroelastic medium and assigning a case to each parameter alteration in comparison to a main case, the medium response to this concept is investigated. Not only the multi-phase flow itself is a kind of intricate problem due to the phases interaction, but inclusion of heat flow and deformability makes it more complicated, also. Thereby, the fully coupled nonlinear THCM model is used for our simulations whose set of equations are solved simultaneously by employing the two-dimensional Theta-STOCK finite element code, after its performance modification and preparation for NAPL distribution problems. After running the program for each of the five cases, the results would be presented, investigated, and insofar as the problem’s intricacy allows, discussed.
