چکیده مقاله:

World has been developed during the last century in a rush and the results were harmful global warming and increasing pollution which affects human lives and earth as well. Efforts and experimental issues tried to find solution which leads to sustainable development that Greenfacades including Green walls are one of its factors. The historical back ground of greening surfaces assumed the important role of vegetated walls and roofs, now a days with the technologydevelopment these traditional systems have been modernized and different smart green walls including living walls and other types were made. The beneficial factors of green walls includeameliorating urban heat island effects, reducing energy demands and attendant CO2 emissions as well as improving the well being and productivity of cities, providing habitant for micro-microorganisms.Iran with its populated and polluted situation is in need of help to combat these harms. The aim of this study is to prove the beneficial effects of designing Green walls in climatic zonesof Iran according to few applicable climatic regions of world with similarities that have designed Green walls and proved its benefits.
