PATHOLOGY AND NORMS OF DESIGNING MODERN MOSQUES IN IRAN

It seems that a kind of superficial designing has been prevalent at mosques. Really the title of mosque is rarely compatible with its existence and real nature. If we criticize the huge volume of buildings from the natural point of view, then the worthwhile buildings are rare. For this reason, the numbers of them are very few and their models will win fame in buildings as the eminent or perfect. Nowadays the problem is disorganization and multiplicity and non-existence of unity in designing. Therefore, it is said more about architecture process but in action it is not attached importance. The historical limits of the article included the period extending between modernism eras in Iran (1920) until now. The quality of mosque designing will be studied in three periods including First Pahlavi ,Second Pahlavi and the period after Islamic Revolution The designing process and its effective norms are studied .The main criterions and the norms of every criteria will be determined which has direct effect on mosque designing
