چکیده

Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present withoutcompromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Sustainable developmenthas continued to evolve as that of protecting the world’s resources while its true agenda is tocontrol the world’s resources. The aim of sustainable development is to balance our economic,environmental and social needs, allowing prosperity for now and future generations. Sustainabledevelopment consists of a long-term, integrated approach to developing and achieving a healthycommunity by jointly addressing economic, environmental, and social issues, whilst avoiding theover consumption of key natural resources.The idea of this research article is to start makingsense out of the seemingly limitless debate on different dimensions of sustainable development.We have evaluated a collection of international papers. These contributions have been debated atthe conferences of the International Sustainable Development Research Society (ISDRS). Ourmain research objective here is to consider the often posed question of why the progress made insustainable development has been so slow and the work implemented so unsuccessful.in this case, We propose the concept of strategic thinking and its three demensions including strategycontent , strategy process, strategy context. Also we discuss diffrenet aspects of sustainabledevelopment in different contexts forexample in Small Infrastructure Project Development. Thenwe have gone further by considering the importance of the civil engineer’s role in sustainabilityand sustainable development’s role in employees’ motivation to perform to their highestpotentional. We have also made a comprehensive evaluation sustainability of sustainabledevelopment.All these findings can have valuable impact on better performance of sustainabledevelopment.
