چکیده

The present article analyzes the non-linear analysis of pressure exerted on cantilever retaining walls using Mononobe – Akabe methods, and also analyzes the static analysis using Rankin – Coulomb method.These numerical methods use finite elements formulation with the help of Plaxis Software. The analysis indicates that in dynamic state, and using Mononobe – Akabe methods, the findings related to acceleration and induced pressure are consistent with the predicted values at lower levels. However, the analysis in static state indicates that there are differences between the numerical model and Rankin – Coulomb methods which are the result of interaction among the soil flexibility of retaining wall in combination with wall movement. The same reason also applies to dynamic state analysis.
