In this research, two-step sintering has been performed to consolidate nano-size BaSrTiO3 powders. The pressed green bodies were first heated at 1350°C to achieve a relative density of about 75%. Then they were cooled down and held at 1150°C for 0–16 h until they became fully dense. Application of two-step sintering for pure nanocrystalline BaSrTiO3 powders enabled the suppression of grain growth during the intermediate and final stages of sintering and production of near fully dense ceramics(higher than 99%) with 530nm grain size. In addition, effect of the grain size on electrical properties was studied. It was found that the dielectric constant decreased as the grain size decreased.
