Effect assessment of traffic parameters on equivalent soud pressure level (Leq) in the highhways of Ahwaz city, Iran

چکیده

Bachground and Objective: Noise pollution is one of the major environmental problems in cities which have been a growing concern in the last few years. One if the most important sources of noise pollution is transportation and cars traffic. Present study was implemented in 2011 with an overall goal of effect assessment of traffic parameters on equivlent somund pressure level (Leq) in the highways of Ahwaz city, Iran Method: For this study, data was colletedfrom totally 112measuring stations, 4 weekdays and 3 intervals as rush hours, yielding to a total number of 1344 traffic noise measurements (Leq) and the influential factors from traffic load and speed of vehicles. In the next step, all field datd was put to Excel and SPSS, two soft ware s for process. Then Regression multi-variables were on data in order to present some statistical models. Results : The finding of this study showed that average of eqivalent Sound pressure level in all stations is equal to 72/62 ±2/53 dBA.also, The result of Pewarson correlation test showed, there was a marked relation between equivalent Sound pressure level and all traffic parameters (P< 0.01). Conclsion: According to the result of this study the equivalent Sound pressure level (Leq) can be effected by the traffic parameters. The models can be defining variables such as; environmental and dimensional factors of roads, wind speed and gradient effect, climate conditions, estimation of absorption and reflection by construction materials, estimation of absorption by plant species, etc .
