چکیده
Most of the ancient cities in Iran had their built environment created based on nature, climate and culture. The history of city formation in Iran shows that the establishment of cities was based on topographic and geopolitics issues expressed in conformity with nature and climate intermingled with creativity. The factor of culture became more focused after the arrival of Islam in Iran. Different tendencies to build environments, therefore, were shaped in Iran which brought about different lifestyles .The dwellers of Abyaneh in the center of Iran inspired by the religions of Zarathustra and Islam made their environment colorful using the colors of nature. They used the bright mud to cover their building facade to endow the happiness to the passerby in the street while applying blue and purple colors for their doors. Meanwhile, the dynamism of colors was expressed in their clothes .Water as the symbol of clarity and purity played an important role in their built environment to mediate the effect of warmth.Various creativities exploited show that engineered life overlapped the natural trend of vitality in inner and outer space. On the other hand, Tooin in the western mountainous region of Iran with a cold and harsh climate used nature to prevent nature. Thick walls made of natural mud a great distance between the people and nature. This changed the culture of people into an isolated form with unique characteristics not found elsewhere. Behavioral differences in these two cultures were directly reflected in their built environments through ceremonies and customs. This paper focuses on the effects of these two built environments and their related cultures with differing creativity in survivalکلیدواژه ها
