Identifying Worn out Texture Areas of Ardabil City in order to Reduce Risks associated with Natural Disasters (Earthquakes)

The expansion of cities and urbanization and the gradually increasing number of large cities in the world, especially in the developing countries, including Iran, on the one hand, have caused urban growth, concentration and centralization of population and augmentation of environmental and economic dispatcheson their bed grounds and, on the other hand, besides giving more attention to cities, have led to the acceptance of multiple roles and functions.One of the important issues facing most of the world s great cities is the issue of natural disasters. Due to the nature of these unexpected events and the need to make quick and correct decisions and enforce actions, theoretical and fundamental principles have created a science called crisis management; this science refers to a set of proceedings which are carried out before, during and after a crisis to decrease the impacts of these disasters and reduce vulnerability. Applying urbanism principles and clarifying the concepts available in this science, such as texture and structure of the city, urban land use, communication networks and urban infrastructures can greatly reduce the impacts and consequences of natural disasters
