چکیده مقاله:

Women rights are must crucial among contemporary world politics issues. Although the Arab region in the Persian Gulf has been in transition since the twentieth century, the status of women has not improved. The Arabian governments have been shown off modernization and democratization, but Arab women are still victims of harassment, assault, violence and discrimination in the societies. They have been marginalized and secluded in these regions. Arab women have been oppressed as second class citizens. They have been stereotyped in the most part of society. Therefore, women do not enjoy the equal rights as men. The male supremacy is historically acknowledged in Arab countries in the Persian Gulf, where the traditional norm is male-dominated. Undoubtedly there is a bias in relationships among male and female in society leaning toward denial and abuse of women s rights. This paper offers an overview of the legal status of women in the Arab states which are located in the Persian Gulf include Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
