The Effect of Translation Strategies Instruction on BA Junior Translation Students Translation Ability

111 translation students at Rahman University are selected randomly. They were given multiple choice Test of translation. Then 51 Particpants who got low scores in translation were selected and divided into two groups of 25.One group is control group and the other is experimental. The treatment was 11 sessions of translation strategyinstruction which were given to the experimental group. After applying the treatment the translation test was given tothem in order to measure the possible effects of teaching translation strategies on students’ translation ability. theresults showed the significance effect of instruction through using paired and independent sample T-test. Analyzing the data through running T-test discovered that translation strategies instruction will improve the students’ translation ability. The findings of the present study have theoretical and practical implications for improving learners ability of translation potential
