Phase separation in polymer blends play a major role in the understanding of the microstructure properties and physical and mechanical behavior of blends. The Cahn-Hilliardnonlinear model is capable to predict the dynamic microstructure evolution upon a temperature quench in a one phase system. A Galerkin finite element model withappropriate boundary conditions and initial random noise as the initial condition have been applied to solve numerically the Cahn-Hilliard equation representing the phase separation behavior of a polymer blend.
