چکیده

Polyamides have been widely used in polymer industry. Liquid crystals have greatly assisted the engineering properties of polyamides. Liquid crystals were first reportedby Austrian Botanist Friedrich Reinitzer. Kwolek reported anisotropic properties of aromatic polyamide in alkyl amidesolvents [1, 2]. We have used the solution properties of synthesized para phenylene terephthalamide in concentrated sulfuric acid to make a short ordered structure needed tocompatibilize nylon 6 in making new micro particles of special properties. We have used a new process to make themicro particles. Huge water turbulence (1: 5,000 volume ratio of water to polymer) was used to set up a vortex to break the mixture of LC/nylon 6 into its micro particles. After a weekupon the settlements, the smallest size was selected and the effect of nylon 6 on particle size distribution was studied according to the new methods and models microscopically [3].
