چکیده

The polymer particles at their micro and nanoscale are finding an ever-increasing number of applications in nanotechnology, quantum electronics, optoelectronic, coatings, biomedical andinformation technology [1,2]. Conductive polymers such as polythiophene, polyaniline and polypyrrole have been investigated as nontoxic substitutes forchromates in corrosion protective coatings due to their excellent corrosion resistant performances and good adhesionto metal substrate [3]. Research in thermal degradation of electrically conductive polymers is of great interest because these materials arewidely used as corrosion protective coatings, supercapacitors, batteries, and microwave shielding. In our previous work, thenano-PT was synthesized and its molecular structure was confirmed by the FT-IR, TEM, XRD and UV-vis analysis [4]. However, no research work has been done to date which focuson size dependent thermal stability of PT particles. Under these circumstances the present work is focused on particle size dependent thermal stability of PT particles
