چکیده

Electrospun polymeric membranes have been currently considered for separation and pre-treatment purposes, due to their special properties in comparison with traditionallycommercial membranes such as higher porosity, higher effective area per unit volume, 3-D structure, and higher rejection rate [1]. Various operating variables affect the membrane’s specification i.e., fibers’ diameter and their distribution, pore size and pore size distribution, thickness,and porosity. These variables are divided into two major groups, i.g., polymeric solution properties (i.e. concentration,polymer molecular weight, salt additive, viscosity,conductivity, and solvent type) and electrospinning conditions (i.e. applied electrical voltage, needle type, tip-to-collectordistance, tip-to-collector angle, and environment temperature and humidity). Worldwide attentions have been focused onpreparation of electrospun nanofibrous membranes (ENMs), in which significantly increase mentioned benefits for electrospun membranes [2].In this work, an ENM was prepared via electrospinning ofNylon 66 (N66) and characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The specifications of prepared membrane were compared with two commercial nylon membranes
