Surface modification of polyamide fabrics with chitosan-PPI dendrimer hybrid

In this research, the surface modification of polyamide fabrics after treatment with chitosan-PPI dendrimer hybrid (CS-PPI) was studied. The prepared CS-PPI was applied to the surface of the polyamide fabric through a pad-dry-cure method. The treated fabrics were characterized by Fourier Transformed Infra Red (FTIR) Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Differential scanning colorimetry (DSC) analyzer tools. FTIR and DSC results provided verification that CS-PPI was grafted onto the polyamide fabric through the formation of new chemical bonds.
