چکیده
This paper considers a novel method of mixing nonpolar polyethylene with polar nanoclay. Samples were produced by injecting Na+-montmorillonite (Na+-MMT) into a HDPE/compatibilizer blend in melt state in a co-rotating twin-screw extruder. Also a solution containing dodecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride salt in distilled water was injected into the extruder using a high pressure dosing pump to modify Na+-MMT in an in-situ process. Using x-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and solvent permeability, effects of some material properties on morphology and barrier properties of produced bottles were investigated. XRD and AFM showed that the nanocomposite structure depends on the compatibilizer type. The solvent permeability of the HDPE/CNa nanocmposites presented lower permeability than the HDPE and HDPE/HDPE-g-MA samplesکلیدواژه ها
