Plastics mixed with the mineral fillers are extensively used in various fields. In this article, composites of polypropylene (PP) with talc powder were produced by Buss (single screw kneader) and Werner & Pfleiderer (twin screw co-rotating extruder) which generally used as a compounder for mixing of plastics with fillers. Poor impact/stiffness balance in talc filled grade related to the weak dispersion and distribution of the mineral filler. The present study verified by experiments how various processing conditions like barrel zones temperature, melt residence time and feed split influence the final properties and quality of these composites. It is inferred from the flexural and impact strength that final properties of composites can changed with processing conditions. Optimized processing conditions can be gained base on the improvement of impact/stiffness balance. Also, differences in the compounds with optimum conditions that prepared in two various compounder were evaluated
