چکیده

In marine application, water absorption of composite materials and gelcoats is important. In this study, three gelcoats are examind. Thise gelcoats were made using of different resins, aerosil and an antibubble agent. The resins used were vinylester, polyester and blend of them(75 vinylester/25 polyester), and were cured at room tempature. Vinyl ester gelcoat showed the lowest and polyester showed the highest water absorption values. The blend obeyed the Mix rule which confirmed the compatibility between the gelcoats.
