خلاصه مقاله:
The solubility coefficient of different penetrants in polymers is an important property of polymeric materials in many practical applications. Solubility coefficient is a determinant parameter in separation of gas pairs using membranes technology. Permeability of penetrants through polymeric membranes obeys solution diffusion theory. Generally, in dense rubbery polymeric membranes solubility selectivity dominates permeability selectivity, and this point shows importance of solubility coefficients compared to diffusivity coefficients. The well-known existing trade-off between permeability and selectivity is an important restriction for applying polymeric membranes. Incorporating of inorganic nanoparticels within polymeric membranes is an effective method to overcome this short coming. Presence of nanoparticels into the polymeric matrix affects both solubility and diffusivity coefficients.
