Au nanoparticles (AuNPs) have found promising applications in bionanosensors, catalytic activities,therapeutic and diagnostic agents, electrical and optical devices. By using poly dimethyl aminoethyl methacrylate (PDMAEMA) as a reducing agent, a facile and efficient method for producing AuNPs is introduced here. PDMAEMA substrate acts either as reducing, stabilizing and shape controlling agent. Effect of temperature on the morphology, localized surface plasmon resonance (SPR) peak, integration of Aunanoparticles and their color was investigated to reach an optimum condition. UV absorption, XRD and HRTEM analyses have been used in this study. Considerable changes in UV-absorption peaks and morphology of nanoparticles were not observed by variation in temperature and time. Heating of the samples accelerates the reaction kinetically and results in lower reaction time.
