خلاصه مقاله:
A thermoplastic polyurethane was synthesized through two-step solution polymerization of polydimethylsiloxane diol in combination with polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMG) using 4,4ʹ - methylenediphenyl diisocyanate followed by chain extension with 1,4-butanediol (BD), in tetra-hydrofuran / N,N-Dimethylacetamide media. Mechanical properties of the PU were studied by tensile measurement, toxicity was evaluated using direct contact cultivation and hydrophilicity of the polymer was traced by contact angle measurement. The results showed that the synthesized polyurethane has suitable mechanical properties, is highly hydrophobic and shows biocompatibility against L929 fibroblasts, all indicating that it can be a good candidate for blood vascular implant.
