چکیده
In this research, the effect of an aziridine containing bonding agent (BA) was investigated on the failure mechanism of a polyurethane based composite with 88 wt% solid content. The failure mechanism of the highly filled polyurethane was elucidated by studying their microstructure using swelling test coupled with scanning electron microscopy (SEM). A linear relation between binder swelling ratio and elongation at yield (Ey) of the samples was observed. This relation revealed that Ey is only dependent on the matrix deformation and is not a function of interface strength. In addition, a thin coat of binder on the surface of AP particles was also observed after failure for the samples containing BA, whereas this layer was not detected in SEM images in the sample without BA. These facts denoted that the addition of BA into formulations, can change the failure mechanism of polyurethane composite from adhesive to cohesive modeکلیدواژه ها
