خلاصه مقاله:
The main objective of this work is a comparison between impacts of two different cure systems electron beam irradiation (EBI) and conventional sulfur cure on crucial mechanical properties, especially rolling resistance, of green tire tread compound. The studies were conducted for the samples vulcanized by the different cure systems, but with the closest value of crosslink density. Composition of the hybrid filler system, a combination of carbon black and silica, incorporated into the compounds was similar for all the samples. From the results, the EBI cured sample than the sulfur vulcanized one has got higher values of modulus, hardness and abrasion resistance, but somewhat lower tensile strength and elongation at break values. Moreover, the noteworthy is that curing by the EBI shows more impression to improve the rolling resistance, as compared to the sulfur vulcanization.
