چکیده
Moisture movement and variation of the temperature in grains bed and drying air is simulated for paddy in an in-store dryer by considering shrinkage into account. The differential equations of change were solved with implicit numerical method. Drying time of paddy rice for an in-store dryer and a fluidized bed dryer is compared with the respective experimental data. Paddy type was named "Neda" with 25% initial moisture content (dry basis). Drying continued until the moisture content of paddy reduced to 12-14% (dry basis). It was found that drying time in fluidized bed dryer was 1/3 – 1/2 that of in-store dryer.کلیدواژه ها
