چکیده

This paper presents a new method to suppress the chaotic oscillation in power system. In research hasbeen investigated the swing equation of the single-machine-infinite bus (SMIB) power system and alsothe mathematical model of the case-study power system that is established based on the uncertaintiy.Chaotic oscillation or instability is appear under periodic load disturbance. Chaotic oscillations are animportant factor in power system stability. Thus, in order to overcome the chaotic oscillations of thepower system, a variable sliding mode control (SMC) method is proposed. The sliding mode controllercan guarantee that Lyapunov stability theory of the closed-loop system. The results show that the stableor unstable (chaotic) power system can be controlled and also asymptotically driven the system orbitsto desired trajectories. Finally, Numerical simulations demonstrate that the error convergence rate tozero is fast, control input in this method is smooth and method proposed is practical.
