Performance and stability of LSCF cathode of solid oxide fuel cell promoted with silver nano-catalyst

چکیده
Mixed ionic-electronic conductor perovskite with the chemical formula of LaxSr1-xCoyFe1-yO3-δ (LSCF) has been widely studied as a cathode material for solid oxide fuel cells. However, limited catalytic activity and the long term stability of LSCF are still an important concern. The present study investigates the mass loading effect of an infiltrated silver nano-catalyst on the polarization resistance (Rp) of a screen-printed porous La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3-d cathode. The results show that Rp of LSCF cathode can be substantially reduced by as much as 75% at 650 °C after a single step infiltration of 0.6 M silver nitrate solution with a mass loading of 0.64 mg.cm-2. In addition, stable cathodic polarization resistance is observed over 50 h at 650 °C under air oxidant.کلیدواژه ها
