Widespread occurrence of fluoride in groundwater more than the prescribed limit has causedmultidimensional health problems [1]. Various methods have been used to remove fluoridefrom water, including adsorption, precipitation, ion exchange, dialysis and reverse osmosis.Among them, adsorption is recognized as the most convenient, effective, and economicalmethod in drinking water purification. Removal of fluoride ions from aqueous solution usingFe2O3/aluminium alginate (Fe2O3/AlALG) nanocomposite as a new adsorbent, is subject ofthe current study.
