In this paper a new technique for alloptical code division multiple access (CDMA) based on optical holography with SLM is described. An SLM is used for encoding the incoming information light signal. Subsequent decoding, which is obtained by holographic filter implemented by an SLM, dispreads the energy of information light signal and brings it to a bright focused light point in a particular position. This position depends on the amount of shift in the received code relative to the code that the SLM is programmed to be matched to. A large number of codes are thus supported by a single hologram. Simulation results are
obtained to demonstrate encoding, decoding and multi-access capability of the proposed method.
