چکیده

This study examines the EFL teachers' perception of in-service teacher training (INSTT) in Iran. More specifically, it seeks to investigate the differences between male and female EFL teachers and their attitudes towards INSTT. Moreover, it aims at examining the effect of university degree of EFL teachers on their attitudes towards INSTT. Also, it tries to investigate the impact of EFL teachers teaching experience on their attitudes towards INSTT. Ninety three participants, with different gender, experience, and level of education, were randomly chosen to answer a forty-item questionnaire in which, they were asked about the place, time, length, type, teacher trainer, and syllabus of INSTT. The results revealed that despite some variations in some of the questions between the answers of male and female teachers, the differences were not significant. Furthermore, it was found out that level of education of EFL teachers is not a distinguishing factor in their perception of INSTT, though there were some minor differences in their answers. Moreover, EFL teachers’ attitudes were not affected by their teaching experience
