BACKLASH MODELING AND CONTROLLER DESIGN FOR MECHANICAL SYSTEMS

Backlash is one of the nonlinear phenomenons which limits the performance of mechanical systems due to delay, undesired oscillations and inaccuracy . Control of systems containing backlash has been a research subject since 1940. In this paper, control is carried out by a PID-controller and a compensator.
