Religion Impact on Provincial GDP in the Provinces of Iran

The main objective of this study is to investigate the religion impact on GDP in the provinces of Iran.Since Iran is a developing country, thus the affecting factors on production as a Macro indicator tomeasure economic growth, can be important. For purpose, in this research, the effect of the separationof religious Sunni and Shia are Islamic sects on provincial GDP during (1331-1332), using dynamicPanel Data approach and Arellano- Bond method. The results of the estimation of econometric modelsshow that the independent variable is not statistically significant on provinces GDP in Iran. and Sunnireligion impact is slightly higher than the Shia religion impact. Also, the results show that the variableimpact of religion on province's GDP in Iran is positive.Classification: Z12, G14, C33
