چکیده
It may indeed be true to say that, security has played an essential role in human life and motivated governments to make security measures tight by a higher level of security. Incontrovertibly, applying biometric traits make up a constitutional part of its effort to prime national security. Although major progress manufactured in iris recognition, it continuous to be an open issue and deserves additional investigation. So as to refer these difficulties, in this paper a novel iris recognition method for feature extraction is proposed which Haar wavelet decomposition approach is applied. It is chosen because it makes the noise effectively reduced, accelerates in filtering the iris pattern, and simplifies computing. To employ this method, firstly, multilevel 2-D wavelet decomposition of the iris image which is normalized, extracts by the feature extraction algorithm to create a distinctive code. Secondly, for finding similarity among two iris images, Hamming distance measure is performed. Our experimental results on CASIA-Iris V3 database shows the potency of the proposed method in iris recognition.کلیدواژه ها
