چکیده مقاله:
Water deficit is one of the major factors affecting agricultural production. So it is important to study and develop appropriate management strategies to increase water use efficiency and also to predict the performance of agricultural products under each management scenarios. Therefore, it was conducted a field experiment in order to evaluate the model of CERES-Barley on five barley cultivars in two modes of full irrigation and deficit irrigation after flowering under weather conditions of Karaj region .This experiment was implemented by split-plot randomized complete block design with four replications in the research field of Islamic Azad University –Karaj Branch during 2010-2011. Two irrigation levels were assigned the main plots, while cultivars being allocated the subplots. Then, the leaf dry weight, stem dry weight and also spike yield were studied by the model of CERES-Barley. Note that the model was able to estimate efficiently the stem dry weight in both conditions. Coefficients of determination were ranged 0.88- 0.97 and 0.89- 0.99, respectively for full irrigation and deficit irrigation (DI). Willmott Agreement Indices (d) of full irrigation and deficit irrigation were estimated 0.9- 0.98 and 0.89-0.97, respectively. With calibration and verification of the model, it could be used for research purposes, and the management planning in Karaj climatic conditions.
