چکیده

Seeing genre as communication implies that poetry translation involves not only transforming of text but also cognition, discourse and action by and between human and textual actors in a physical and social setting(Buzelin,2004).The author in this paper investigates the process of translation in Persian poetry and its translation by native translator to English. Also doing translation analysis in the light of Vahid's tentative model of poetic translation assessment and criticism. It attempts to describe different strategies done by translator and comparing it by what used by poet textually and extra textually. In the present study, a Persian piece of poetry by Iranian poet(Moshiri, F.,) and its translation by Iranian poet (Vahid,D.H.2006) are compared and analyzed under examination of extra linguistic determinants and evaluation of linguistic factors. The point whether the translator is successful in implying poet's intention or not, will be present in the result of information analysis as final task.
