چکیده مقاله:
Geotourism is emerging as a new global phenomenon which fosters sustainable tourism based upon landscapes. Geotourism is defined as tourism that sustains or enhances the geographical character of a place its environment,heritage, aesthetics, culture, and the well-being of its residents. Geotourism promotes tourism to ‘geo-sites’ and the conservation of geodiversity and an understanding of earth sciences through appreciation and learning.In this paper, we used the term geomorphosites for naming sites of particular interest in terms of geomorphological heritage.Qeshm Island is located a few kilometers off the southern coast of Iran (Persian Gulf), opposite the port cities of Bandar Abbas and Bandar Khamir. The characteristics and geotourism potential of Qeshm identified and Scientific and Additional values used in this research to protect natural sources of the environment and focus on investmentattraction in order to improve economic condition of the village, increase the visitors, create job opportunities andhigh income for residents and etc. It attempts to evaluate this natural environment potentials based on theseobjectives. The results obtained outstanding scientific value of Stars Valley and Eretmochelys Imbricata (whit score 0.82) - Due to the high attractiveness of this site of Palaeogeography value. In addition the results obtainedoutstanding scientific value based on Cultural values of Mangrove Marine Forest (whit score 0.77) - Due to the high attractiveness of this site of its historical and cultural values, rather than other geomorphosites
