خلاصه مقاله:
Numerical Manifold Method (NMM) is a powerful and efficient method to solve different static and dynamic engineering problems. This numerical method models the behavior ofmaterials by defining two mathematical and physical meshes. NMM is used to achieve a dynamic solution with high accuracy. In this paper, first, principles of NMM are introduced. Then, studying of dynamic contact modeling between two bodies based on Newmark’s method is done. Application of dynamic contact modeling in NMM is presented. In order to verification of the results, some examples of material behavior,some examples of material behavior under dynamic contact such as bar free fall on the rigid base in different boundary conditions are exhibited. The stability and convergence of computational results is shown and compared with analytical solution. Finally, thecapacity of this method such as accuracy and efficiency for simulating dynamic contact problems demonstrated
