چکیده
Prangos ferulaceae (L.) Lindl (Apiaceae) is regarded as a medicinal plant distributed from east Europe to Turkey, Iran, Caucasia and central Asia The plant has been used in Iran under common names of Djashir. In traditional medicine, extracts of the roots and fruits of the plant has been used for treatment of digestive disorders, healing scars and stopping bleeding in Iran, Turkey, India and different parts of caucasia and central Asia. The seed dormancy of Prangos ferulaceae (L.)Lindl (Family: Apiaceae), A medicinal plant, has been studied with treating the seeds with soaking, scarification, cold and warm stratification, alterning temperatures and gibberlic acid. Our results showed that the seeds dormancy can be broken only by cold stratification within 8 weeks that induce germination to 35-40%. It has been shown that cold temperatures promote growth of undeveloped embryo of the plant. In conclusion, It is obvious that, seeds of P. ferulaceae have morphophysiologic dormancy and negative photoblasticity.کلیدواژه ها
